The Dø

The Dø is a French since 2007 existing indie-pop duo.

History

The members of The Dø are born in Paris in 1974 composer and multi-instrumentalist Dan Levy and vocalist Olivia Merilahti which has a Finnish mother and a French father. Both worked before founding The Dø on the music of the film Empire of the Wolves. The debut album of the project, A Mouthful, appeared in France in 2008. Placed it on one position in the French album charts. On the subsequent tour, the duo of drummer and percussionist José Joyette was supported.

In 2009 she was awarded with the European Border Breakers Award ( EBBA ).

In March 2011, the second album Both Ways Open Jaws appeared.
