The D4

The D4 is a rock band from Auckland, New Zealand. Their music is distributed by Hollywood Records in the U.S., Flying Nun Records in New Zealand and Infectious Records in the UK.

Band History

The band was founded by Dian Palmer and Jimmy Christmas, both guitarists and singers. They made time for fun, a collection of pieces together and even brought two other members in the band. Her first appearance they had in the Frisbee Leisure Lounge in St. Symonds. Soon followed even appearances in the local pubs downtown.

The band's debut album was released on Flying Nun Records in 1999, and contains, among other things, the pieces girl and Come on!. The band's style can be described as " hard rock with many, energetic guitar solos " describe.

As a special feature of the belt is that both Dion Palmer and Jimmy Christmas sing together, sometimes even from the same microphone.

After the success of bands like The Strokes and The White Stripes and The D4 and The Datsuns became well-known music groups in the United Kingdom and Japan.

As announced in May 2006, the band announced after eight years that they are a break from the music industry, indefinitely treat.
