The Doll Family
Harry Earles (actually Kurt Schneider, also known as Harry Doll ) (* April 3, 1901 or 1902 in Stolpen, † May 4, 1985 probably in Sarasota ) was a midget actor.
Life and career
He came with his sister Frieda (later Grace) from Germany around 1915 in the U.S., where, after they had occurred as The Doll Family at Coney Iceland, the name of their employer, Earles assumptions. 1920 followed them her sister Hilda Daisy later called himself, and 1926 Ella, who took the name of Tiny. The four siblings worked up in the 1950s in the film and for the circus.
His first starring role was in the Earles crime shocker Unholy Three by legendary director Tod Browning. There he played a toddler, the purely puts innocent with his two criminal buddies and abzockt. He was known worldwide especially for his starring role in the horror film Freaks, in which he starred with his sister Daisy Earles page. He also appeared in The Wizard of Oz (1939 ), where he handed over Judy Garland in a small role a lollipop.
