The Electrics
The Electrics are a Christian band from Dumbarton, Scotland, which specializes in Celtic Rock.
Formed in 1988, when the former Penny Infra - members Sammy Horner (vocals and bass) and Paul Baird (guitar ), drummer Dave McArthur and the keyboard player Allan Hewitt asked if they wanted to play on the Glasgow Impact Festival together. The band released in 1989 a self-funded album on cassette, views in blues. Following this recording, the band has a Celtic rock sound, heavily influenced by The Waterboys and The Pogues developed. This was followed by albums such as vision and Dreams ( 1990), which was distributed by Word Records, and Big Silent World (1993 ), released on the German label Pila Music.
