The Electrification of the Soviet Union

The Electrification of the Soviet Union ( original title english The Electrification of the Soviet Union) is an opera in two acts by the English composer Nigel Osborne with a length of about 120 minutes. The libretto 1986, the British author Craig Raine after originals such as " Spektorskij " by Boris Pasternak and which other authors. The German translation of the text wrote Friedrich Spangemacher.

The work was premiered in 1987 at Glyndebourne. In 1988, the German premiere, performed by the Wuppertal Opera, held in Wuppertal Opera House.
