The Exies

The Exies is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band's name, The Exies, is the short form of The Existentialists. The band was founded in 1997. They stand at Virgin Records.

Band History

The Exies were founded in 1997 as the singer and guitarist Scott Stevens has the bassist Freddy Herrera and drummer Thom Sullivan recruited to form a new group. Stevens ' friend Chris Skane was at the beginning as a guitarist in the band, but this left and was replaced by David Walsh.

Stevens chose the name " The Exies " based on a biographical statement of John Lennon on Rockline ( 11/09/2002 ).

The band released their debut album in 2000 Ultimatum Records and verantstaltete a tour. They got the attention of the music producer, Matt Serletic, who bought their contract from their indie label. Thom Sullivan left the band in September 2000 and was replaced by Dennis Wolfe. In August 2002, the band began another tour.
