The Final Cartridge III

The Final Cartridge III was a very popular plug-in module extension for the home computer C64 and Commodore 128, produced by the company Riska BV Home & Personal Computers ( Holland ) was produced. The module provided a quick charging program (such as Turbo Tape ) and a freezer, which allowed the user to stop the computer at any point of the program execution in order to let him continue in the same place later.

The plug-in module is connected to the expansion port of the respective computer. Were outside of the plug-in module, two switches ( for the " Reset" and " freeze" ), and an LED is mounted, the indicating whether the module is active or inactive.

One of the interesting features of the cartridge was the GUI: When you switch on the device ( or at the same time press the reset and C = button ), the screen displayed a graphic WIMP desktop. The graphical interface was ajar 1.x to the AmigaOS.
