The Flower Kings

The Flower Kings is a Swedish progressive rock band.

Band History

In 1994, the guitarist Roine Stolt released a solo album entitled The Flower King. Stolt, who was active in the band Kaipa already in the 1970s, tied with The Flower King of the classic progressive rock on. For the recording of the album Stolt gathered a small group of musicians around.

As The Flower King got good reviews, decided Stolt and his fellow musicians to form a band. This was named in accordance with Stolts solo album The Flower Kings. In subsequent years, the Flower Kings evolved into one of the world most popular bands of the genre.

After five years of hiatus - the musical leader of the band, Roine Stolt, worked in the meantime in the projects Transatlantic and Agents of Mercy with - the band announced the release of a new album for June 18, 2012.

Style

The Flower Kings socialize as a retro - prog band on the classic progressive rock of the 1970s. Your special alignment is symphonic rock with jazz influences. Band Members
