The Galaxy (magazine)

" The Galaxy ", also called "Galaxy Magazine", was an American illustrated monthly magazine, published from 1866 to 1878 in New York City by the publisher Sheldon & Co..

It was founded by the journalist William Conant Church and his brother Francis Pharcellus Church. Mark Twain wrote in a " Memoranda " mentioned section about ten pages per issue in the twelve consecutive months of May 1870 to April 1871 except in March, 1871., He wrote next to three stories for the magazine, two in 1868 and one in August in 1871.

When setting the show, the subscriber list was sold to Atlantic Monthly.
