The garage is a Soviet film satire of Eldar Ryazanov from the year 1980.
Action
The members of the garage building cooperative " fauna " have gathered for a meeting at the Zoological Museum of the Research Institute for the Protection of Animals. After discussions to finance the under construction garages, information on lack of material and things like the members already want to go, as Sidorin which projects together with the Deputy Director of the Museum Anikejewa the cooperative, today announced a tricky decision: the construction of an expressway also affected the plot for the garages, so that fewer garages can be built as planned: Four members of the cooperative have to give up their garage and be excluded from the cooperative. As a fourth Anikejewa randomly selects again the scientist Guskov. Production
The garage was released in the Soviet Union in January 1980. The movie was released on 26 August 1988 in the cinemas of the GDR and was shown for the first time on DFF 2 on German television on 14 May 1990. In November 2005, published Icestorm the film in the series Russian classics on DVD.
