The Get Up Kids is one of Kansas City (Missouri, USA) derived heavily influenced by the indie rock emo band.
History
The band in 1995 by Matthew Pryor (guitar, vocals), Jim Suptic was founded (guitar, vocals ), Robert Pope ( bass) and Nathan Shay (drums). On July 2, 2005 The Get Up Kids gave their last concert in Kansas City, her hometown. Singer and mastermind Matthew Pryor has been dedicated to the strengthened his solo project The New Amsterdams its energy keyboardist James Dewees while plugged into his project Reggie and the Full Effect.
In November 2008, the band on their MySpace page announced that for the year 2009 a reunion was planned. Meanwhile performances were for the Groezrock 2009 Meerhout (Belgium ) and the Area4 2009 Luedinghausen (NRW) announced well in Berlin at Postbahnhof am Ostbahnhof.
