The Getaway (1994 film)

Getaway is an American film directed by Roger Donaldson, which was produced in 1994. It is a remake of the thriller Getaway of 1972 and how it is based on the novel by Jim Thompson.

Action

Carter "Doc" McCoy goes for a robbery gone awry in jail. His wife Carol is sleeping with the influential Jack Benyon, so this works for the release of Carter.

Benyon asked later by Carter that it participates in another robbery. Carter and Carol escape with the stolen money to El Paso, where they obtain false documents for the flight to Mexico. But before it comes to a showdown with the people of Benyon, they have tracked down at a hotel. After they shot their opponents, they can freely go on to Mexico.

He praised some scenes with Jennifer Tilly.
  • Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun - Times of 11 February 1994, the film had a similar " dramatic depth" like a computer game.
