The Good Night

The Good Night is an American- British- German comedy film from the year 2007. Directed by Jake Paltrow, who also wrote the screenplay.

Action

The 34 -year-old, married with Dora Gary Shaller is professionally and personally frustrated. He envied his friend Paul, whom he considers to be more successful than yourself

Shaller meets during sleep in his dreams, Anna, who he finds attractive and is in love with him. He discovers that the woman really exists and arranged to meet with her. However, the real Anna disappointed him.

The film ends with Shaller is in a coma after a car accident in which he still dreams of Anna. Ultimately, however, he turns away from her and returns to Dora back, which is now an integral part of his dream.

Reviews

Kirk Honeycutt wrote in the magazine The Hollywood Reporter January 29, 2007, the movie was a bad comedy ( "not a good comedy " ) with unsympathetic characters and a " half-baked " act that could be described with the adjective " poor ". The critics praised the underlying idea, which does not develop, the director and screenwriter enough.

Background

The film was shot in London City and New York. His cost of production was estimated at 15 million U.S. dollars. The film was then presented its world premiere on 25 January 2007 at the Sundance Film Festival and was on several other film festivals.
