The Heart Throbs

The Heart Throbs was an alternative rock band from Reading, England, which released three LPs in the early 1990s. Band History

The Heart Throbs ( German: palpitations) was founded in Reading, England in 1987 around the twin sisters Rachel and Rose (which Sisters of Echo & The Bunnymen drummer Pete DeFreitas are ). Following the release of several singles in the late 1980s, the band got a record deal with One Little Indian Records, which her ​​debut long play "Cleopatra Grip" brought out in 1990. The album with the successful singles "Dream Time" and "She 's In Trance" gives a good overview of all the then-current styles of music in the United Kingdom anno 1990: post-punk, shoegazing and dance rhythms a la Madchester. The album was mixed among others by the producer Gil Norton and Martin Hannett. In response to the publication came the break within the band and the rhythm section was replaced. The self-produced follow-up album " Jubilee Twist" from 1992 contains the song " Tiny Feet " under the fans most favorite song of the band and with " Hooligan " a chartskonvertiblen hit, success was missing, however.
