The Hoosiers
The Hoosiers [ huʃɛʁs ] is a three-piece British indie band, It was originally founded under the name The Hoosier Complex in London. Under the production of Toby Grafty -Smith, a former member of the band Jamiroquai, the three musicians succeeded in autumn 2007 with their debut album in their home country of breakthrough. In 2008, the band was nominated in the category " Best British Single" at the Brit Awards.

Career
According to his own biography originating from Exeter and Reading Sharland and Sparkes spent some time in the United States where she studied with an athletic scholarship at the University of Indianapolis. In parallel, they wrote songs. On her return to London she met the Swedish engineer Skarendahl.
After the band had received a recording contract with RCA Records, was released in June 2007 under the title Worried About Ray, the debut single of the band. The recording, which takes strong bonds with the hit Happy Together the Turtles from 1967, reached # 5 on the UK Singles Chart. The video, in which the band came to life with a fighting Zyklopenfigur is inspired by the American trick technicians and animator Ray Harryhausen.
With the second single Goodbye Mr A they confirmed this success.
The end of October 2007 released debut album The Trick to Life rose immediately after publication at # 1 on the UK charts. 2008 The Hoosiers participated as a headliner at the German venues of " All the Lost Souls " Tour of James Blunt in part.
