The International Molinological Society

The International Molino Logical Society ( TIMS ) is the only global company in the field of mill customer.

History

From the Portuguese J. M. dos Santos Simões minted l International Symposium 1965 (English " Molinology ", Latin for " Molina, mill", and Greek λόγος, study), the term " Molinologie " all studies on wind, water and muscle power mills. TIMS maintains and promotes the interest and knowledge at this historically, technically and sociologically fascinating area worldwide. The Society encourages research and supports all aspects of the mill customer, including the restoration of mills. She works closely with national societies and associations, and at all levels as for the conservation of important historic mills.

Symposia and excursions

TIMS held every four years an international week-long symposium in one of the member countries. The symposia provide an opportunity for participants to present research on all areas of the mill customer. The symposia are supplemented by discussions and excursions to interesting mills. Contributions and discussions are then summarized and published (transactions ) in the symposium report. In addition, TIMS also organized every four years, in rotation between the symposia, a week-long excursion mills.

Publications

As a periodical for all members of TIMS published twice per year the magazine International Molinology (approx. 40 pages) with articles, short articles, book reviews and news. Larger studies appear in the volumes of the series " Bibliotheca Molino Logica ".
