HaBajit haJehudi (Hebrew הבית היהודי, German Jewish Home ) is a national- religious party in Israel. It represents a Jewish nationalism that opposes an independent Palestinian state and supports the expansion of Jewish settlements.
Description
History
The party was formed in November 2008 through the merger of the extreme right-wing National Religious Party and the until then the National Union ( an alliance right-wing parties ) belonging to parties Moledet (German native ) and Tkuma (German rebirth). Already in December 2008, and Moledet Tkuma split but back of the new party now and again as a candidate under the National Union in the Knesset in 2009. HaBajit So haJehudi was initially in fact only the National Religious Party with a new name. The party won the 2009 Israeli elections to the Knesset 3 of 120 seats.
Bennett and the Knesset 2013
November 6, 2012 Naftali Bennett became party chairman. Prior to the early elections to the Knesset on 22 January 2013, the party agreed with Moledet and Tkuma on a common list. The other two so far belong to the National Union parties Eretz Jisra'el Shelanu and Hatikva occur, however, as Otzma LeJisra'el (German strength for Israel) in the election and are still on the right. However, the alliance failed to progress to the Knesset. The party won 12 seats in the Knesset in 2013. The party here was fourth most powerful force and is regarded as " Netanyahu's preferred candidate " for a Koalition.Am March 15, 2013, the coalition agreement was signed, with Bennett in control of most of the socio-economic ministries in the government gets, so the settlements, industry and commerce, the pension fund and Religious Affairs. The party will provide four ministers: Naftali Bennett ( Economic and Trade Minister ), Uri Ariel, Uri Orbach and Eli Ben- Dahan:
