The Lady and the Reaper

La dama y la muerte (Eng. The woman and the death ) is a Spanish animated 3D short film by Javier Recio Gracia from the year 2009.

Action

An old woman is looking at the picture of her deceased husband and rests with the image in the arm to sleep. She dies and her spirit is already out of the death out of the room when the woman is suddenly brought back to life by a doctor again. The death looks puzzled and goes on the attack: Alternately try doctor and death to win the woman for who would actually die. At the end of the bizarre battle of death gives up and the doctor and the nurses are exhausted. The old woman but leaves both parties frustrated alone, pushing a defibrillator into the room next to the treatment room, lets water into a pan and bring up to then with a electric shock.

In the credits, death is to see who has just arrived home, and on his pager receives the message from the "arrival " of the old woman. Furious, he throws down the device.

Production

The computer-animated 3D short film La dama y la muerte was built between 2007 and 2009. The film experienced on 31 October 2009 at the Festival Internacional de Jóvenes de Granada Realizadores its premiere.
