The Legend of the Ice People
The Saga of Eisvolk (Norwegian Sagaen om Isfolket; Swedish Sagan om Isfolket ) is a series of novels by Margit Sandemo. Between 1982 and 1989, 47 volumes have been published in Swedish and Norwegian. It is a family saga with fantastic elements, which has now been translated into all the Nordic and some Eastern European languages. Since June 2008 it is published on a monthly basis in English.
In the late 1990s the first attempt was launched to establish the series on the German market. The printed books were sold in Norway from BKH - Verlag mail order and at kiosks. However, with Volume 9, the series was discontinued.
Since June 2007, the series is newly published by Del Rey, but likely set there as well with Volume 9 again.
