The Light is the debut album by the progressive rock band Spock 's Beard. It was published in 1995.

It contains four songs, which as often happens in progressive rock, relatively long ( 6-24 minutes). They may consist of the songs " The Light" and " The Water", of several parts. This and also the style of the band makes you feel part of progressive rock classics such as " Supper's Ready " is reminiscent of Genesis, although the music from their role models in other parts also lifts and points in the direction of your own style, to the successor albums is more pronounced.
