Action
The opera singer Malvina van Stille is to marry the next day and celebrating at a reception. She is killed by Dr. Emmanuel Droz, who steals her corpse. Dr. Droz brings the corpse on an island where he lives in a castle. He invites the piano tuner Felisberto Fernandez, who is to attune the seven units of the scientist. Dr. Droz want to keep with these devices, the voice of the singer for eternity. Fernandez gets to know the housekeeper Assumpta of the scientist that he finds attractive.
Reviews
Kristine McKenna likened the film in the Los Angeles Times, December 1, 2006 with Eraserhead by David Lynch and the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. He was " mesmerizing " and show the obsession of " diabolical " Dr. Droz.
Movie service wrote that the film was an " aesthetically delightful, genre, media and cross-genre science fiction fantasy, their visual gimmicks are not free of mannerisms " were. He would " overwhelmed by an excess of metaphors and quotes sometimes ." The " subtle use of cultural references " would offset the " strenuous craftsmanship ".
Awards
The directors received in 2005 two special awards at the International Film Festival of Locarno and was nominated for the Golden Leopard. The film was nominated for the best visual design for the Chlotrudis Award in 2007.

The film was made in Leipzig. Its world premiere took place at the International Film Festival of Locarno on August 9, 2005. On 9 September 2005, he was shown at the Toronto International Film Festival, the numerous other film festivals followed. On August 17, 2006, he entered the German cinemas. In selected cinemas in the United States, the film grossed an approx 28 thousand U.S. dollars.
