The Potbelleez

The Potbelleez is one of four Australian- Irish electro-pop band. In 2004, two expatriate Dubliner Dave Goode and Johnny Sonic met in Sydney and played as a DJ duo in the clubs of the Australian metropolis. In 2005 and 2006 pushed the two Australian singer MC Blu and Ilan Kidron to the Potbelleez and they made their first recordings, which they published on the Internet.

They got a record deal and published in the spring of 2007 the first EP (In the Junkyard ). Her songs were played in Australian television shows such as Australia 's Next Top Model and Big Brother and its reputation grew over the dance scene beyond. The following song Do not Hold Back came the really big success. After they were seated in October in the Australian charts, the single 10 rose by the end of the top In the New Year party at the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the final of the Australian football championship they went with the song on television and in February they reached as the highest chart position number 5 and was certified platinum.

Then immediately followed the step to Europe. In Germany they were as support for two months with the band Scooter on tour. In England they were added to the program by the BBC. They promptly came in these two countries in the charts.

In 2008, the band released their first studio album The Potbelleez. Their second album they released in 2011. This album bears the name of Destination Now.
