The Real News is a global online video news channel, which is supported by members and donations. It was founded by the documentary filmmaker Paul Jay in 2007.

Philosophy ( mission statement )

The Real News Network ( TRNN ) is a news and documentary channel with an emphasis on politically independent and uncompromising journalism. The staff who collaborate with other journalists from around the world, research, report and discuss the latest news and issues. TRNN is audience -supported, and does not accept advertising, government or corporate funding. The Real News is headquartered in Washington DC, USA with offices in Baltimore, USA and Toronto in Canada.

Managing Director and Chief Editor

As editor of TRNN Paul Jay beaufsichtet the production of over 4500 reports and is the main presenter of the TRNNs. As production manager of the program counter spin on CBC Newsworld, he produced more than 2,000 programs in the 10 years that it was sent. In addition, Jay is an award winning documentary filmmaker with far more than 20 films.
