The Right Honourable John G. Diefenbaker Centre for the Study of Canada

The Diefenbaker Canada Centre ( officially The Right Honourable John G. Diefenbaker Centre for the Study of Canada) is a museum and archive in the Canadian city of Saskatoon. It is located on the campus of the University of Saskatchewan and was named in honor of John Diefenbaker (1895-1979), the 13th Prime Minister of Canada, built.

After his election as Chancellor of the University of Saskatchewan in 1969 Diefenbaker promised to give a plot of the university, under the condition that it is a museum and archive building would be built to store his memorabilia. As a role model to him the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum in Independence (Missouri ), which he had visited previously served thereby. The University took Diefenbakers to offer, the opening of the Diefenbaker Canada Centre took place on 12 June 1980.

The museum houses an exhibition on the life and career Diefenbakers. This also includes replicas of the Prime Minister's Office and the Privy Council of the hall, as they existed during his reign (1957-1963) on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. Part of the museum is traveling exhibitions.

In the archive personal and professional writings, photographs and audiovisual recordings are kept. Diefenbaker and Richard Bedford Bennett are the only Prime Minister whose securities are not held by Library and Archives Canada. On the lawn in front of the center are the graves of Mr. and Mrs. Diefenbaker.
