The Rods
The Rods is an American heavy metal band from Cortland, New York.
History
The band was David " Rock" Feinstein, a cousin of Ronnie James Dio (including Black Sabbath and Rainbow ) founded, was active as a guitarist in the band Elf before. In 1980 the debut album via Primal Rock Hard, which was as The Rods via Arista Records released again in a similar, slightly revised form in 1981. This album is now one of the classics in the rock area. After a further three albums, the band broke up in the late 1980 's.
In August 2006, the band came together again and started working on a new studio album. This has already been fully received and will be released in spring 2009. However, the new album then appeared only in 2011 and is called Vengeance. Remarkably, the Feinstein's cousin Ronnie James Dio has sung a song.
