The Royal Guardsmen

The Royal Guardsmen were a rock band from Ocala, Florida. It consisted of six musicians. Originally they were called "The pulsation ", but because of the great successes of British bands like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones at the time they gave themselves a British sounding their names. Her first success was the 1966 hit " Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron ", which was also the title of their first album. Even in later albums they dealt with the same themes, Snoopy, Manfred von Richthofen ( the Red Baron ) and aircraft. In 1967, for example, Return of the Red Baron ( album and single ). The end of 1967 was followed by the album Snoopy and His Friends, which reached number 46 in the American charts. The most famous song on this LP is Snoopy's Christmas. On the cover of the LP itself caricatures of the band members, who were even drawn by the Snoopy creator Charles M. Schulz personally were. Overall, they released four albums. They separated in 1969, after the successes had subsided.
