The Russian Public Opinion Herald

The Messenger of social opinion ( Вестник общественного мнения ) is a Russian sociological journal. The magazine is moved from the opinion research institute Levada - Center since 2003. The magazine four times since 2009, appears in the year.

A portion of the Journal is devoted to the results of monitoring of socio -economic changes. The program was developed 1992-1993 by a collective under the direction of Academician Tatyana Zaslavskaia. As part of the monitoring are " the estimates of the population on the economic situation of the country" ( since 1993), " the relationship with the economic reforms " (since 1994), "The potential of Protest" ( 1993 ), "The Root of optimism " (since 1994 ) (since 2000) examined the trust to the political leaders and others.

Another part contains scientific articles devoted to the main aspects of life in Russian society. In the magazine the article by Yuri Levada, which were influenced by the general idea about " the Soviet people " were published (Homo Soveticus is the main project of the former WZIOMs and today's Levada Center ). In 2008, the fifth wave of public opinion research was conducted with the support of the Fund " The Liberal Mission " instead. Articles by Lev Gudkov, Boris Dubin, Alexei Levinson, Marina Krasilnikowa and other staff of the Centre shall be published in the messenger.
