The Scene (miniseries)

The Scene is a free available American miniseries of the company in June Entertainment Group and deals with the subject of actually existing, illegal computer subculture " The Scene " by the fictional story of a release group. She gained attention in particular on their unusual style: There are almost exclusively the computer screens of text chat participants shown. Therefore, the series acts like a cinematic adaptation of the epistolary novel genre, not only in terms of literacy, but also in the fact that the audience experiences the fictional world of the changing subjective view of each writer.

The series

The Scene deals with the life of a movie ripper group that has access to the latest movies on an outside person. It is emphasized that The Scene is not a series that is intended to encourage the piracy.

The series itself is distributed free on the Internet and is under a Creative Commons license.

The scene is, however, no series in the normal style because the characters being watched, what they do on their computers. For the most part, the computer monitor of the actors in the picture is displayed on this chat, rip DVDs, writing emails, etc. In the upper left corner beyond a camera image can be seen on which the actor is in sight. The picture here never changed, but is rigid, similar to a webcam. For this reason, the cost of production of the series are also very low and are located according to the information JUN Group at around 600 U.S. dollars per episode. The consequences are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution- No machining License 2.0.

Characters

  • Brian Sandro (Joe Testa ) - Known as " Drosan ". He is the head of CPX, one of the best groups in the movie scene.
  • Teflon ( Curt Rosloff ) - Tef ' is No. 2 in the CPX. He cares about the procurement of sources and is Drosans best friend. He is often referred to as the " old bag " of CPX, because he is the oldest of the group.
  • Slipknot (Noah Rothman ) - He cares about the relationships between the groups. It is believed that it comes from France.
  • C0da ( Dinarte Freitas ) - He is the messenger. He gets the sources and makes the uploads. He is the most cautious and timid in the group. He lives near Berlin.
  • Melissa ( Trice Able ) - She is the girlfriend of Brian and is mad at him because he at the PC spends more time with her.
  • Trooper ( Jill Howell ) - She is one of the hottest sources of CPX. She works in a DVD pressing plant, which manufactures Screener; and thus procured movies in high picture quality and before the official release.

The parody

There is a parody of the series called Welcome to teh scene. The group at issue in the parody is called " XPC " (CPX, read the group from the original reverse). The head of XPC is called " Hydrosan " (a mixture of the name of the real existing group " HYDRO " and the names of the chiefs from the original " Drosan ").

The Scene 2.0

In The Scene 2.0 is the second season of the series which was launched on 17 July 2006. The most striking change from the first season are new characters, actors, and a new framework for action. Furthermore, the consequences have been published on a weekly basis, whereby the length of an episode is shortened.
