The Soundtrack of Our Lives

The Soundtrack of Our Lives ( TSoOL ) was a Swedish rock band whose style between psychedelic rock, 1960s pop music and rock oscillated. It has dissolved at the end of 2012.

History

The band was founded by singer Ebbot Lundberg and guitarist Björn Olsson and Ian Person 1995 after their previous band Union Carbide Productions joint had dissolved. Olsson left T.S.o.O.L. 1997 while working on the second studio album and was replaced by Mattias Bärjed. This remained the only cast change after formation of the band.

The Soundtrack of Our Lives have long been successful only in Sweden, until they made their debut with their third album Behind the Music in 2001 in the United States. This work has been nominated for Best Alternative Album at the Grammy Awards 2003. With the album Origin Vol 1, published in Germany in October 2004, they toured with Oasis by the United States. 2005 double CD A Present from the Past, on which the band unreleased material and B-sides and EP tracks published, partly in new mix appeared. The next studio album with new material did not appear - as many expect - under the title Origin Vol 2, but bears the name Communion and was born on 22 November 2008 - 40 years after the white album - as Doppel-CD/-LP in Scandinavia published. In Germany, the album was released in April 2009 under the label Haldern Pop Recordings. Even before the German release date of the album Throw It To The Universe in June 2012, the Group announced that they would disband after a farewell tour of the year. In Sweden, the debut solo album There's Only One Of Us Here the singer and main songwriter Ebbot Lundberg already appeared in May 2012.
