The Teen Idles
The Teen Idles were an American hardcore punk band from Washington DC that existed from 1979 to 1980. The members of the Idles Teen Nathan were Strejcek, Geordie Grindle, Ian MacKaye and Jeff Nelson. The band recorded during its existence to two demos and an EP and was the first band that released on the label Dischord Records, which had been founded by MacKaye and Nelson. The band is considered a milestone in D.C. Hardcore and the Straight Edge movement. She was inspired by hardcore punk bands such as Black Flag and Bad Brains.
