Action

The plot of The Testament of Sherlock Holmes is set in London of the year 1898. Holmes has just re- purchased a stolen necklace and handed over to the rightful owners. However, the notice that it is the returned piece of jewelry is a cheap fake. It seems as if Holmes himself replaced the chain against a fake. Shortly thereafter, Holmes hurries to a short-term appointment with the Bishop of Knightsbridge, but this place before cruelly murdered.

The website Adventure-Treff praised the graphics, the selectable perspective, the exciting background story, the cutscenes and the good atmosphere, but criticized the quality of the mini-games, logic holes and the average synchronization. The overall rating they awarded 78 percent.

The magazine PC Games awarded a score of 76 percent and saw in the game " a recommendation for adventure fans, because not yet in the series part of the investigation was so interesting and exciting."
