Reviews

" The Three Robbers by Tomi Ungerer as congenial adaptation template provides far more than just perfect family entertainment. Hayo Fridays film is incidentally an unobtrusive plea for the right to be a child, being irreverent and critical undertones not be missed. "

Has " Amusing filming an anti- authoritarian children's book by Tomi Ungerer from the year 1963, which was far ahead of its time back then, but now abundantly recognized patina. Trying to stretch the short presentation on a feature-length film, also leads to a number of redundancies. "

" The film is in the style of the children's book [ ... ] true, but developed its own charm in the pictorial and narrative implementation. The events [ ... ], which was made subtle changes for the film and enhanced with some side strands is carefully and lovingly nestled in a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Hayo Freitag [ ... ] waived frantic cuts and rapid scene changes, on coated gags and inappropriate action. He takes a lot of time [ and ] trust the clear and simple images held [ ... ]. This leaves the imagination Ungerer, get his original characters and his gentle, slightly ironic narrative and make the film particularly recommended for preschoolers. "
