The Toy (1982 film)

The playmate is an American comedy film from the year 1982 by Richard Donner. It is the remake of the French comedy The toy of 1976.

Action

Jack Brown is an unemployed journalist, who after graduating from college just can not find a job and whose house is on the verge of foreclosure. So he looks for a job that is far below his qualifications as an academic and begins as a cleaner in the company of U.S. Bates on. So he is at night while brushing and playing in the store, as he is being watched by Bates 's son Eric and his staff from a hiding place. Eric was allowed to choose any toy, what he wanted, but after seeing how clumsy Jack playing around, he just wants to have Jack. But Jack refuses to go along and can be persuaded only with difficulty. Only when you press him several hundred dollars in his hand, he agrees to be packaged as a gift to Bates ' Villa to let send.

And there he insists on his dignity and is persuaded only with a lot of money to do and buy for a week to take care of Eric and to play with him. Jack learns that Eric feels let down by his father alone, so he now also sees the job personally. But Mr. Bates Fancy wife he is humiliated at a dinner party as a new toy of her step- son, so he then angrily leaves the estate.
