The Venetian Macao

The Venetian Macao -Resort- Hotel (Chinese澳门 威尼斯人 度假村 酒店) is a large building in Macao, China. The 980,000 m² complex was built between 2004 to 2007. Design office was the joint venture Aedas / HKS. It is the sixth largest building in the world and the largest hotel building in Asia by land. Operator is the company Las Vegas Sands.

The plant was opened on 28 August 2007. Striking feature is the 225 meter high angled Hotel bar with 38 floors and 2905 suites ( 7th to 38th floor). The house belongs to the luxury segment and includes a hotel, entertainment facilities and a casino. The casino consists of 800 gaming tables and 3400 slot machines. Further facilities at the Venetian a few restaurants ( nine with Chinese cuisine, six with Western cuisine, a Japanese cuisine, four with other Asian cuisine ), numerous shops, a convention center, a theater, two ballrooms and an events arena ( CotaiArena ) with 15,000 seats.

So far, the house received over 30 awards.

The plant is located on the Cotai Strip on the coast, where other large casinos and hotels are located.
