The Very Best of the Jacksons

The Very Best of the Jacksons is published by the record company SonyBMG 2004 Compilation ( compilation ) of the American pop band The Jacksons. It brings together for the first time the songs of the brothers from their early days from 1969 to 1975 with the Black Music label Motown (then as The Jackson Five contract ) with the songs (now a music label SonyBMG ) recorded at Epic 1976-1989 were. Those songs from his time with Epic catapulted the lead singer Michael Jackson beginning of the eighties to the top of the charts and became a world star.

On two CDs are songs that have arisen 1969-1989. Here, the selection of songs based heavily on their chart position. It is also in a booklet, which provides a review of the musical highlights. All songs were subjected to a so-called digital remastering and sound more like they were recorded with the technique at the present time. The songs were also the first mixed in Dolby Surround.

CD 2 shows the career of Michael Jackson became a world star at Epic. The songs on Epic were indeed lower chart success, but are musically much more mature. A live version of Do not Stop 'til You Get Enough, the first solo hit in 1979 by Michael Jackson on Epic, is additionally included.
