The Vessel is a British comedy web series by Chloe Seddon, Phillip Whiteman and Giovanni Bienne. The series premiered on October 21, 2012 at the Internet. In an interview Chloe Seddon and Phillip Whiteman announced that the idea for the series came when they were asked to improvise an audition. "We chose the scenario of a gay couple's who were asking her best friend to be their surrogate mother. "
2011, The Vessel with the award for "Best web series pilot " honored at the Raindance Film Festival in London. The Vessel won other awards, including for the " best produzierteste Comedy Web Series " at the LA Web Festival 2013. The series also won awards for ' Best Supporting Character ' for Robin Soans and Louise Jameson.
Action
In The Vessel it comes to controversial issues such as rainbow family and surrogacy. The series was filmed from the perspective of the surrogate mother ( Kim), so that the audience sees the action through the eyes of the surrogate mother and thus never get to see Kim's face or reactions. This format is similar to the series Peep Show. Each episode consists of a single continuous setting, where the script has to often improvised.
Season 1
Episode 1: Two Fathers - Rory and Mike Kim ask for a favor. Will it their surrogate mother? Episode 2: How To Get Pregnant - The trio visited a surrogacy counselor, to find out how Kim can get pregnant best. Episode 3: Pregnancy Test - A great moment when Kim makes the pregnancy test, but is it ready for the result? Episode 4: Telling Mom I'm Pregnant - The Three visit Kim's parents for dinner to deliver the news. Episode 5: Pregnancy Yoga & Pregnancy Diet - The Pregnancy strict order from the boys and Kim's fiery pregnancy hormones constitute a dangerous combination in the name selection. Episode 6: Pregnant Man - Kim meets with the hot hatch and has a special proposal for him. Episode 7: Baby Kicking - During a walk in the park, Rory meets his ex-boyfriend. Episode 8: Nightmares - A night full of nightmares uncomfortable leads to an intimate conversation between Mike and Kim as they tell each other about their fears about the baby. Episode 9: Dinosaur Fear - A trip to the Museum of Natural History leads to a dispute between the boys and then comes the shock for all. Episode 10: Giving Birth - The baby comes and brings the boys a new life and Kim to a decision that will change their lives.
Season 2
The producers announced that a second season was not excluded and that there are currently several ideas under discussion.
