. Joy Stick Heroes ( Original title: The Wizard) is an American adventure comedy from 1989 directed by Todd Holland; the screenplay was written by David Chisholm, who co-produced the film also.
Action
The parents of 13 -year-old Corey Woods and his autistic 9- year-old brother Jimmy are divorced. Corey goes on a trip to Los Angeles, where he wants to start in a competition of the video player. He takes with Jimmy, who is regarded as a natural way of helping him play. The mother of the boy entrusted to private investigators with the Putnam search.

The film values " cynical " the trend of video games from ( "is finally just a cynical exploitation movie with a lot of commercial plugs in it" ). His screenplay was written in such a " senseless " and its director was so " disabled " that the film disappoint anyone.

In 1990 the film was nominated for Best Comedy and Fred Savage, Luke Edwards, and Jenny Lewis for the Young Artist Award.
