The Xcerts

The Xcerts are a three-piece alternative band from Aberdeen, Scotland. The band describes their music as " Distorted Pop ".

History

The band was founded by the then 13 -year-old Murray MacLeod and Jordan Smith at school in Aberdeen, later joined drummer Tom Heron from Brighton to the band. By 2008 published The Xcerts several singles and toured both within and outside the United Kingdom.

The first album In The Cold Wind We Smile was published on 23 March 2009 on Xtra Mile. On 4 October 2010 the second album Scatterbrain appeared. In 2011, The Xcerts, among others, Manchester Orchestra and Frank Turner on tour and will occur in early 2012 when the European tour as the opening act of Brand New.
