Geographical Location
Theisseil is located in the Upper Palatinate region -Nord.

There are the districts precious village, Letzau, Roschau and Wilchenreuth.
History
Theisseil belonged to the Duchy of Neuburg -Sulzbach and his court raft, which became part of Bavaria in 1777. The Now one of the municipality Roschau was part of the princely county Störnstein (star stone) and was thus not until 1806 Bavaria. 1818 originated with the municipality edict in Bavaria, the forerunner of today's political community, the precious village communities, Letzau and Roschau.
Incorporations
The community Theisseil was newly formed in the course of municipal reform 1 July 1972 from the previously independent municipalities precious village, Letzau and Roschau.

- SPD: 2 seats
Coat of arms
Blazon: Azure, two horizontal, superposed gestümmelten silver branches, side by side two six-pointed silver star.
The emblem has been used since 1979.

Economy, agriculture and forestry
It was in 1998 according to official statistics in the manufacturing sector and not in the trade and transport any social insurance contributions at the workplace. In other areas, were employed to social security at the workplace 23 people. Social insurance contributions at residence, there were a total of 255 in the manufacturing sector and in construction there were no farms. There were in 1999, 54 farms with an agricultural area of 1359 ha, of which 850 ha of arable land and 508 ha of permanent grassland.
