Them (band)

Them ( [ ðɛm ] ) was a British rock band that was founded in April 1964 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The founding members were Van Morrison (vocals, harmonica), Alan Henderson ( bass), Billy Harrison ( guitar), Jackie McAuley (keyboards ) and Patrick McAuley (drums). The first single, Do not Start Crying Now / One Two Brown Eyes, was released in August 1964.

When her best-known songs are Here Comes the Night, Baby Please Do not Go and Gloria. Another hit was It's All Over Now, Baby Blue, which is originally sung by Bob Dylan. In the second half of 1965, the group get three minor hits in the U.S. with Gloria, Here Comes The Night and Mystic Eyes

In 1966, the band broke up, as a Morrison - still ongoing - pursued a solo career (as of 2010 ). The band was re- formed in 1979 without him, but it was finally dissolved a short time later.
