Theo Klöckner

Theo Klöckner (* October 19, 1934 ) is a former German football player with black and white eating the DFB Cup and 1965 with Werder Bremen won the German championship in 1959.

Career

The qualified electrician Theo Klöckner came in 1954 from Mülheim SV 07 VfB Speldorf, the association of the old international goalkeeper and later honorary chairman of this Mülheim clubs, Fritz Buchloh. With Speldorf Klöckner reached 1956, the final of the German Amateur Championship ( 2:3 against the Spvgg 03 Neu-Isenburg ), in the final he was seriously injured in the initial phase after brutal attacks of his opponent by a broken fibula, but achieved despite handicaps the interim 2:2 compensation. Substitutions were not yet allowed.

For the season 1956/57, Theo Klöckner then switched to black and white food. His biggest success in black and white, he celebrated in 1959. On December 27, the team won the DFB Cup. In the final SWE won 5-2 against Borussia Neunkirchen, Klöckner was scorer for intermediate 3-0. By 1963, Theo Klöckner remained at the Essen Uhlenkrug, the team shuttled in this time between the "old" second League and the Oberliga West. In a league of Klöckner brought it to 102 games and 28 goals.

Since Schwarz-Weiß Essen was not included in the new Bundesliga, joining Theo Klöckner in 1963 with 29 years in the north to Werder Bremen. In the second year of the league in 1964 /65 led coach Willi Multhaup Bremen of the German championship. Klöckner came in the championship season 17 times used ( four goals). Overall, he was at Werder on 31 Bundesliga games ( eight goals).

In the summer of 1965 he moved back to black and white food. With the club Theo Klöckner reached in 1967 as Regional Vice Master the Bundesliga promotion round and missed behind Borussia Neunkirchen just under the climb to the top flight. Then he said goodbye to the big football and returned to VfB Speldorf. There he achieved in 1969 and later Uerdinger Bundesliga coach Klaus Quinkert promotion to the highest amateur class.

National

In December 1958 Klöckner was appointed national coach Sepp Herberger in the national team. His debut, he played the game in Cairo against Egypt, which was lost with 1:2. It was a noteworthy game, as it was the first international match of the German national team outside of Europe. Helmut Rahn occupied the right, Theo Klöckner the left wing. Klöckner still denied after another international match. On May 20, 1959 he played in Hamburg 's 1-1 draw against Poland. He also came on November 8, 1959 while playing the B- team against Hungary for use.
