Theo Schneider

Theodor " Theo" Schneider ( born August 23, 1960 in Dortmund) is a former football player and current coach.

Player

Theo Schneider grew up in Selm and began his footballing career at the local football club. His professional career began in 1978 with Borussia Dortmund, from where he moved in 1982 to the 1st FC Nuremberg. Shortly after the beginning of the season 1983/84 Schneider was awarded to Rot-Weiß Oberhausen. He stayed there then until his move to 1 FC Saarbrücken at the start of season 1986 / 87th After two seasons Theo Schneider then moved to VfR Sölde before 1992, a contract with Arminia Bielefeld signed. During the 1993/94 season he finished his career as a footballer.

Schneider completed a total of 74 league games in which he scored seven goals, as well as 157 second-division games (35 goals).

Coach

His coaching career began Theo Schneider on 1 February 1994 at Arminia Bielefeld in the former Oberliga Westfalen. Later he managed the A- juniors of his tribe Club Borussia Dortmund, where he coached the second team in 2004. In May 2009, the BVB II he achieved promotion to the Second Division. A season later, he climbed to the second team right back down because it was only enough for 18th place in the table. Since February 23, 2011 Theo Schneider was in red -Weiß Oberhausen under contract, where he took over the post of Hans -Günter Bruns. On November 21, 2012, he took over at relegation-threatened regional division SC Wiedenbrück 2000, the Office of the head coach. As the successor to Markus Reiter, he signed a contract until the end of June 2015.
