Theocracy (band)

Theocracy is a Christian Power and progressive metal band from Athens, Georgia, USA, which was founded in 2002.

History

The band was founded in 2002 by Matt Smith. He developed the first songs, so that in 2003 released their self-titled debut album at Metalages Records. On the album Smith played all the instruments himself In 2008, the second album Mirror of Souls joined. On the phonogram were first drummer Shawn Benson and guitarist Jon Hinds heard. By publishing bassist Jared Oldham and guitarist Val Allen Wood have been aware of the band, so they completed the occupation. 2011 the band released their next album As the World Bleeds at Ulterium Records. 2013, the debut album was re-released as fans expressed this desire. Shawn Benson took on all drum parts, otherwise the recordings of the debut album were used.

Style

The band plays Christian, Progressive Power Metal, which is comparable with works by other bands like Freedom Call, Secret Sphere and Stratovarius.
