Theresa Breslin

Theresa Breslin (* in Kirkintilloch ) is a Scottish writer. Many of her novels aimed at young readers.

Life

Breslin began writing while working for several years as a librarian. She has published 25 books, five of them as an audiobook before they focused entirely on writing.

Her novel Whispers in the Graveyard, which is about a boy suffering from dyslexia, was in 1994 awarded the Carnegie Medal.

The Medici Seal is Breslin's last novel (August 2006), for her research was extensive. She made trips to study Leonardo da Vinci's most famous works, including the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper.

Theresa Breslin lives with her husband and their four children in Glasgow.
