Thiago Rangel Cionek

Thiago Rangel Cionek (* April 21, 1986 in Curitiba ) is a Brazilian footballer. Since October 3, 2011 has Cionek, whose ancestors migrated in the early 20th century from Poland to Brazil, the Polish citizenship. He plays in defense, primarily as a central defender.

Career

Thiago Rangel Cionek began his career with the club unterklassigen Vila Hauer EC in his hometown of Curitiba. From 2005 to 2006 he was part of the squad for the first team from Cuiabá EC. In July 2006, he joined the Portuguese third division and promoted GD Bragança. There he came two appearances and scored one goal. After the descent of the club in the summer of 2007 Cionek returned to Brazil and moved to second division CRB Maceió. There he came into the 2007 season, his first appearance in professional football. After he had completed a three-week trial with Polish first division Jagiellonia Białystok from June 2008, he signed there in July 2008, a three year contract until the end of June 2011. Cionek could instantly win a regular place and won with the club in 2010, the Cup and Supercup. In June 2010, he extended his contract by two years, then by the end of June 2013. Overall, he came to 91 inserts and scored three goals in the Ekstraklasa. End of August 2012, he spent the equivalent of about 400,000 euros to the Italian second division club Calcio Padova, where he signed a three-year contract by the end of June 2015. There he conquered immediately a regular place.
