Thiazyltrifluorid is a chemical compound selected from the group of fluorides.

Production and representation

Thiazyltrifluorid can be obtained by reaction of tetrasulfur with silver ( II ) fluoride.

It can also be displayed from ammonia and disulphur decafluoride.

Properties

Thiazyltrifluorid is a colorless, thermally stable, pungent gas, which slowly hydrolyzed with water. With sodium hydroxide reacts rapidly to ammonium, fluorine and sulfite ions. The connection is much more stable than Thiazylfluorid and reacted at room temperature with no ammonia, even not when heated with hydrogen chloride and below 400 ° C even with sodium.
