Thierry Pauwels

Thierry Pauwels ( born 1957 ) is a Belgian astronomer and discoverer of asteroids.

He works at the Observatoire Royal de Belgique (IAU code 012) in Uccle in Belgium and discovered between 1996 and 2008 a total of 100 asteroids and 9 other together with colleagues.

The asteroid ( 12761 ) Pauwels was named after him in 1993.
