Thimphu District
Thimphu ( ཐིམ་ཕུ་རྫོང་ཁག་ ), formerly Chirang, is one of the 20 dzongkhag ( districts ) of Bhutan. It has an area of 1617 km ² with a population of 116 115. The main town is the capital of the same Bhutan, Thimphu.
Thimphu is in turn divided into 10 Gewogs:
- Bapbi Gewog
- Chang Gewog
- Dagala Gewog
- Genyekha Gewog
- Kawang Gewog
- Lingzhi Gewog
- Mewang Gewog
- Naro Gewog
- Soe Gewog
- Toepisa Gewog
