Thoise is a military airfield, which is located at 3,067 meters above sea level, and a small village in Shyok Valley in Jammu & Kashmir, India ( Thoise is an acronym of: Transit Maintenance Of Indian Soldiers Enroute ).

Airport and the village have thus meaning that the airport for the military supplies of men and material is used with helicopters and aircraft for the Indian border troops stationed since the Siachen conflict on 13 April 1984 to today on the Siachen Glacier. The Indian Army maintains also a fuel storage for their vehicles and airships Thoise. Thoise is about 160 km from Leh in Ladakh and 25 km from floppy disk, a village in the Nubra Valley. Thoise motorized can be reached via the Kardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable high mountain passes in the world.
