Thomas Asbridge

Thomas Asbridge Tom Asbridge or Thomas S. Asbridge (born 16 April 1969) is an English professor of medieval history with a focus on the Crusades.

Life

Asbridge studied at Cardiff University Ancient History and Medieval history with the BA degree. His doctoral thesis at the Department Royal Holloway, University of London dealt with the history of the Crusader Principality of Antioch State. Then taught Asbridge at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland and at the University of Reading.

Since 1999 teaches Asbridge at Queen Mary University in London specializing in the Middle Ages, Crusades and Islam and the West.
